Work At Home Multi Level Marketing

MLM is short for Multi-level Marketing.

1)Multi-level Marketing is the movement of products and services from the manufacturer directly to the consumer through a network of independent associates.
2)Multi-level Marketing is a business partnership with someone, usually a group, that has the same interests and goals that you have.

To fully understand the concept behind Multi-level Marketing, you must first understand why it is better way to sell a product. In order for you to understand this we must show you the differences between Conventional Distribution and a Network Distribution.

Let us start with Conventional Distribution:
1)XYZ "Company" has a product to sell.
2)They sell there product to a "Wholesale" Company.
3)This Wholesale Company has "Representatives" that sell to privately owned stores.
4)These stores have to pay for "Advertising" to sell this product.
5)Then we the consumer become the "End User", or buyer of this product.
Now remember everyone has to make money somehow through this chain of events. We the "End User" are the ones that fuel this system, by buying the products they are selling for the price they have negotiated.

Now lets look at Multi-Level Marketing:
1)XYZ Company once again has a product to sell.
2)A "Distributor" has been granted permission to sell this product.
3)Which is then purchased by us the "End User."
As you can see Multi-Level Marketing can make a huge difference in the purchase price of a product by eliminating the middlemen of Conventional Distribution.

Every Distributor runs this as their own business and in essence controls their earnings by the amount of work that they do. A lot of people do not like to sell, and this reason alone can mean failure in an MLM. There are ways though that you can succeed in a MLM with out having to sell the product.

For those of you that understand how an MLM works, the last paragraph probably made sense to you. For those of you that don't know how MLM's work, we will explain the last paragraph in more detail.

Before you can become a "Distributor" you must first be signed up by a "Sponsor" who then becomes part of your "Up-line!" Your "Up-line", in a MLM, is really only a group of "Distributors" that have joined the program before you did. In english your "Sponsor" has a "Sponsor" who has a "Sponsor" and so on till you reach the top of the Network! (Hence Multi-Level.)

Now in order for you to be successful in an MLM you must first be trained by your "Sponsor!" If you join an MLM and you never hear from your "Sponsor" after you have signed up, chances are you will fail! The idea behind Multi-Level Marketing is to build a team of members who have the same goals and work ethic that you have. So if your "Sponsor" is lazy and or not very approachable it will be very difficult for you to learn the system and what works. Now on the other hand if your "Sponsor" has showed you everything they did in order for them to be successful, but you don't teach these same things to the people in your "Down line." Your chances of succeeding, once again in an MLM, are very slim.

Your "Down line" consist's of people, you as a "Distributor" now turned "Sponsor", have signed up to work below you. And who they as "Distributor's" now turned "Sponsor's", sign up to work below them. This will go on and on till a certain level is reached.(hence Multi-Level) Now, in an MLM, everyone you sign up, as well as the ones they sign up, will earn you an additional income over and above the products you sell. The amount you will receive is based on a certain percentage of product or the product's price you as a "Distributor" sell and they as your "Down line" sell. Now once you have started to build your "Down line" it is very important that you keep these people informed, trained, and motivated. You will only be successful if your team is successful. The more you train your "Down line" the better your chances are of earning more money. If you are lazy chances are your "Down line" will be lazy!

Now that we have explained what an MLM is, and how it works, it is time to give you the down sides of an MLM.

MLM's have made a lot of people wealthy, but the sad fact is most people very rarely get back what they invest. This is because of poor training, lack of motivation, and or the simple fact that it wasn't really an MLM but a scam. One of the most common scam's to hide as an MLM is a "Ponzi Scheme." A Ponzi Scheme is any kind of money-making opportunity where you get paid by recruiting, en listing, or soliciting other people to follow your lead and continue a chain of events. In other words, you'll be paid a commission from the people you recruit - from the people they recruit and from the people they recruit into infinity. This is the "secret" impact that most multi-level marketing companies use to induce you to buy into their program. Such practices are illegal, and subject to federal laws which could destroy you. So called, bi-level marketing plans are the same thing, as chain letters, and people helping people clubs.

MLM's do work, but it is up to you to make sure you research an opportunity before you jump aboard. When you strip all the glamour and catchy headlines from an MLM opportunity, really what you are left with is a "Commission Only Sales Job!" Many people have become wealthy in these types of positions. The best line of defense you can use is "If it sounds to good to be true it probably is!" DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!
