InDesigns is currently looking for an experienced, smart, energetic person to become a member of our production team as an Web Developer. The successful applicant will be responsible for working closely with project managers to ensure that the technical needs of each client are promptly met. The position requires the Web Developert to occasionally manage the entire development process from user interface, system architecture and design to programming, documentation and debugging. To be successful in this position, you must have participated in the complete development of innovative websites and have experience with web graphics software, and the manipulation of digital images specifically for the web environment. This position gives you the flexibility to work at home to suit your lifestyle. We are looking for a person on a contract basis to help us with the exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

* Create interactive user interfaces using web graphic software and web technologies
* Implement user interfaces for web applications using dynamic scripting and graphic production tools
* Experience developing dynamic web applications
* Experience in creating and/or interactive user interfaces for the web
* Work closely with project management through full life-cycle of projects
* Provide technical support by identifying and resolving website related problems, and supporting web applications
* Support application and website users by developing easy to understand documentation and user assistance tools

Requirements:

* Must have experience creating interactive user interfaces.
* Must have experience and knowledge working with and developing web applications.
* Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to deal with others effectively
* 2-3 years recent related experience in a internet environment and seeking a fast paced, deadline driven, challenging environment
* Must have a high-end computer, high-speed internet connection, webcam and all the necessary software
* Ability to learn new languages and software

Technical Skills:

* Web Programming: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, dHTML, Flash/actionScripting
* Database Programming: PHP, MySQL, CGI/Perl, ASP (an asset), .NET (an asset), XML (an asset), ColdFusion (an asset)
* Graphic Software: Photoshop, Acrobat, Fireworks, Illustrator, ImageReady
* Web Editor Software: Dreamweaver, Flash/actionScripting
* General: Email, Researching Online, Instant Messaging
