What work at home scams do you know for sure are work at home scams?
This will stay sticky and hopefully grow.
Lets not discuss them here. Lets just use this for a list of scams!
We can discuss them more by making another topic in this folder.
I know about this one and it is a big one. One that could land you behind bars!
| Quote: | I was supose to start a work at home job friday. Upon doing a lot
of research I found out they are a major scam. They are from overseas and
are having us US citizens cash counterfit cashiers checks for huge amounts
of money. There is an article about it on http://peopleschronicle.org. If you
want further information I will be more than happy to help. I just don\'t
want to see people get scammed like this. They aren\'t listed in the BBB
nor a lot of other websites because they change there name all the time. |
Be careful people.....

One of the many I should say. So stay away from this one! |

Envelope Stuffing is a scam.....
Unless maybe you have a local company willing to pay you to stuff circulars.
Dont pay someone for a kit or for materials.
Legitmate companies will pay for their literature and pay you for stuffing.
You shouldn't have to pay them

We've all seen them at one time or another. A typical envelope stuffing ad might read as this: "Help Wanted: Mail order company seeking people to stuff envelopes from home. $1000 weekly."
CLICK HERE and read the rest of the article. |

| Quote: | Most home typing - ad placing offers are a scam.
They charge you money upfront.
Then you place ads in hopes that someone will respond to a ad like you answered.
This is the way you will earn money!
My advice stay away from em. |

| Quote: | Chain Letters and Pyramid Schemes are common scams
If you have been looking for work at home long you'll recognize this one.
Letters that instruct you to send, say $x, to the people above you on the list. Then, you add your name to the bottom of the list, moving the others up, and dropping the top name off the list.
These are know as chain letter schemes, and just like the typing scam, you do the same thing here in hopes someone actually pays. This one has been around a while and is a scam! |

| Quote: | Reshipping Products
There are many ads out there that say you can work at home reshipping products for businesses overseas.
How this works is you receive goods and then you ship them overseas.
These goods are ordered using stolen credit card information, then sold to the public when they reach the criminals.
This would involve you in criminal activity. Stay far away from these types of ads. |

| Quote: | Data Entry Scams
Watch out for ads that offer data entry jobs. Most of them want you to pay them, and in return you place ads trying to get others to pay you. I guess in the internet world this is what data entry means. There are good data entry jobs out there, but you will need to weed through alot of crap to find em!! If they are asking for money, chances are its not a job opportunity!! |
